Breakaway Sportfishing is now the proud owner of not one, but TWO 44′ Pacifica Flybridge sportfishing charter boats! The Breakaway and our newest addition, The Sea Esta. Whether you are looking for a day (or days) out on the water catching fish or you want to take your family on a vacation to Catalina for an overnight getaway – exploring the island, snorkeling, or doing fun things on the island – we have a trip that fits your desires!
About Our Boats
Our newly renovated and re-powered 44′ Pacifica – The Breakaway is set up with state of the art electronics, including searchlight sonar for 360 degrees of fish-finding! The Pacifica is available for all types of trips with excellent accommodations for overnight and multi-day trips. Sleeps 6 passengers in two different state rooms on 5 twin size bunks and a full size bed, complete with two bathrooms and a large stand-up shower. The Pacifica’s salon is extremely spacious with a flat screen TV and a comfortable couch – great for staying dry and/or getting out of the sun. The salon has plenty of counter space and a dining table for food prep. The Breakaway is galley up, which means more sleeping room in the lower area of the boat. The cockpit is 15′ wide and over 150 square feet. Plenty of rod storage for you to bring your own gear (as well as fish our gear) and tons more room for coolers! The boat also has excellent walk around room and a large stable bow as a secondary fishing area. The fly bridge can also be used for taking pictures and videoing those amazing memories! Our newly purchased 44′ Pacifica – The Esta is also re-powered and has just a few differences from The Breakaway. Sleeps 6 passengers in two different state rooms on 2 twin size bunks and a full size bed. The Sea Esta’s galley is down stairs leaving us a ton of room for lounging in the salon and getting out of the sun! She has just as much fishing room makes a great short range boat! What’s Included
All of our charters come complete with top of the line Shimano and Calstar tackle for you to use for the day. All fish cleaning and packaging is included free of charge. All bait and chum is also supplied by the boat. Please remember to bring a valid CA fishing license, food, drinks, sunscreen and camera.
Our Captains have earned USCG Masters licenses or OUPV licenses and have a vast knowledge of the areas waterways. This experience ensures both safety and enjoyment on every trip we run.
In addition, we offer tutorial charters for anglers who own boats and would like to maximize the “tricks of the trade” in catching more fish and utilizing their boats to the fullest potential.
